Each session seems to take on a life of it’s own. From the vibe of the couple to the choices of locations. Every couple is different and every session will be different. This Ponte Vedra Beach session certainly had a personality of it’s own! Tarryn’s advise on your engagement session: “Just have fun with it. It’s so awkward to be told to pose but when you have the right photographer like Jess who can make it fun you can guarantee you will get the pics you have always wanted and dreamed of having.”
This location was special to Tarryn and Brandon. Although they went to high school together, they didn’t really know each other. Brandon was a year ahead of her. Coincidentally they met again at a wedding I happened to be shooting! The groom was a childhood friend of them both and they were both invited to the wedding. The rest, as they say, is history! Tarryn has kept up with my work since Mandy and Kyle’s wedding years ago, and entrusted me to shoot her engagement session.
I encourage couples to choose locations that mean something to them. We started this session on the same walk way Tarryn and Brandon would walk across when they lived in Ponte Vedra. Those early days of dating and long strolls on the beach hold a special place in both their hearts and they wanted to recreate that for their engagement session. Go back to where it all started. Romantic right!?
I asked Tarryn what look she was going for in her engagement session and her response was “The one you caught!” 🙂 This reply makes me incredibly happy, ask any couple that’s had a session, it’s tiring. Making sure we are on the same page and starting off on the right foot is first and foremost! I work with couples from the very beginning to make sure their locations reflect what they want their session to reflect. We need to make sure you’re comfortable in your engagement sessions, from outfits to locations.
These two lovely’s tie the knot in 9 days! I know Tarryns is anxious for the day to come. There ceremony will be at the beautiful Epping Forest Yacht Club and I just know it’ll be perfect!
